Until about three weeks ago I felt pretty similar to you about OS X.
However, Panther has changed this, and for that very reason I am actually
glad that the release date was not before but after the Panther release
date. It would have been absolute desaster if Finale had come out Jaguar
compatible but didn't work with Panther. I think that Panther has finally
made OS X more than just barely usable, and I have now gladly changed. Best
of all, the classic environment actually works much better in Panther.

With Panther I can now see that I actually get a lot more from OS X than I
would ever have got from an updated OS 9.
