Although measure numbers are not a problem for me, I personally don't think that linked parts are at all usable without separating score and parts in two files. It still saves me from having to deal with numerous parts files, so it is an improvement to have linked parts, but in their current implementation I find them far too limiting to keep everything in one file.

The one major advantage for my work is actually another: I can make draft parts while I am still working on the score, and not lose anything later. At that stage one file for all is fine, but for the publication stage I always have two files.
