Since some time the installation of Acrobat Reader and Gsview/Ghostscript
are of similar easiness: you download a single exe file, [double-]click it
and answer some easy questions.

The major disadvantage of PDF-files is that they don't look well on display
if you don't have the neccesary fonts as Type-1 fonts. AFAIK the feta fonts
are not available as Type-1 fonts (as the MusiXTeX fonts are not available
as Type-1 fonts). This may have changed with the newest (beta?) versions
of Acrobat Reader.
