ok so I will say this again..I know there are other engines..but I care about this one..so there is no point of telling me which other large outdoor engines there are..i know that..i use them too and they just make me more aware of the state of the tool set we have. I have used source for years..its because I am a fanboy of the engine that I say such things..I mean you only have to listen to Jed to get an idea of the problems...and as for third party api's not being able to redistibute..well other games do it so I dont see why it cant be sorted out for us. And Jorge im not whining..I have nothing to whin about..I acutally get to work with programmers as a tech artist making tool sets for everyone..so I know its alot of work and im not taking for granted that it would also be alot of work for valve..but thats no excuse at all. Everything that Jed has said so far is pretty much spot on..
