Hi Trish.

I have no expertise to offer, being a recent Mac convert myself, but I do have
two suggestions:

The recently released Mac Mini has a good reputation and (I think) will work
with standard PC keyboard and monitors - it's also cheap.

I nearly bought a wireless network recently and was advised (by the person who
stood to make money out of me) that it's only really worthwhile if you're using
laptops. Bearing this advice in mind, have you considered an iBook?
