Hi Trish. I have no expertise to offer, being a recent Mac convert myself, but I do have two suggestions: The recently released Mac Mini has a good reputation and (I think) will work with standard PC keyboard and monitors - it's also cheap. I nearly bought a wireless network recently and was advised (by the person who stood to make money out of me) that it's only really worthwhile if you're using laptops.
