Yes, I have a USB card reader. I don't use it regularly because the automatic upload with Canon's software is more convenient -- it sorts the photos into new folders pre-labeled by the date the pictures were taken, and places them in the right location for display and processing. Also, the automatic import makes it unnecessary to remove the memory card from the camera and then replace it after the transfer.
