Robert,
IMail does support the SIZE command, so it should work and give OK
responses. Judging from the responses, it looks like this might not be your
IMail server (the 502 error should not be the response!). When I connect to
the hostname as shown in the log, these Mail From: lines work (I'm awaiting
a relayed message, just to see if it really works..... I did, I got a
message via your server! You are an open relay).
The first one, MAIL From:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> SIZEg614
is actually a bad line (the 'g' should be '='), but apparently IMail does
not care, when I tried it, it was accepted.
If they were connecting to the wrong host, that would mean you would not
have anything in your log and the host they did use, might not support SIZE,
so replied with the 502 error. Their client, should have resent the Mail
>From line, without the SIZE parameter, rather than blindly sending the RCPT
To: line. Could be an indication of a client problem here, too.
Some DNS problem might have given the wrong address for the hostname,
mail.eeplace.com?
I'd need more log info, showing the connection part (the IP of the Server is
what I'm looking for) and any other SMTP commands sent prior to these, to
get a more accurate idea of what is happening.
