Bud,

That 'delete after X days' is not something I would use (IMHO). I don't want
a program doing what I easily do when I decide a message should be deleted.
It also means that the client setting is 'leave a copy on the server' (or it
would not be there after the next login!), which if still there, can be
read. It might take removing/recreating the acccount in OE or other wise
'resyncing' to the server, but that does seem to work! One could use Web
Messaging, as an alternate means to see if messages are really in the
mailbox, then delete/recreate the OE account, and see if that now shows the
'missing email'.

Sort of the reverse of the problem I was having with OE and IMAP (client
showed messages as deleted, but could not 'purge' them, even though message
was no longer on the server).

Guess this is one of the 'features' of OE (although mine worked for many
thousands of messages and about a year before I had the above problem).
