My understanding is that its DNS issue. The remote server cannot locate/resolve the domain and so it thinks that it does not exist.
such a DNS validation will usually pass if either an A or MX record is found for @sender.domain.
The bounces are coming exclusively from domains that have Sendmail 8.xx servers.
try sending a msg to me, or any IMGate/postfix MX. They all do the same validation.
I spoke with an email admin two days ago that was good enough to reboot his DNS servers.
the pb is not with his or anybody else's DNS, cept maybe yours.
After he did that we were able to send to his domain without problems for a while
rebooting DNS wouldn't fix this.
, now we are getting bounces again.
yep
We are having this problem with many larger companies, reliant.com, pbsolar.com, netzero.com to name a few.
and they all can't have screwed DNS, the pb is with your DNS for that domain.
Help is Greatly Appreciated.
