Early Analysis Suggests Annual Traffic Fatalities Less in 2004 Than in 2003
Preliminary analysis suggests an overall reduction in fatal traffic accidents in 2004 compared with 2003, both in total motorists and non-motorists killed and in fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports. Fatalities from alcohol-related motor vehicle accidents appear to have decreased as well. | |

A study evaluating the ability of urban paramedics to accurately identify ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction on prehospital 12-lead ECGs found that paramedics, as a rule, are pretty good at ECG interpretation.
