In response to Jim's "soap box" on not bashing companies for producing
software too slowly, then imperfectly: I AM a programmer (at least I was
professionally before I became a teacher, and still am at heart sometimes
:-) ), and I know this one from both sides. I listen appreciatively on
this list to bug reports, praises and criticisms of the product and its
updates, improvement requests and sometimes donations, etc.; but I, too,
don't like the before-and-after attacks on HJ's slowness to release, then
failure to test. It's a pattern known all over in the business though.
Lots of people are impatient; lots are intolerant of mistakes; some are
both. Which am I? Well, I don't know, but I don't want to wait for an
answer and don't want any wrong ones posted on this list. <major grin>
