Oh, Kakki, all feels right with the world with you again speaking up on Joni's behalf. There's something very reassuring about that. I say that fondly and with no sarcasm intended anywhere at all (just in case anyone reads it that way). Yes, it's sweet. > Van Morrison's Philosopher's Stone is still listed at $31.00. > The Beatles Anthology 2 CD sets are $31.00. I haven't bought any of the 2 cd sets you mention and am used to going into HMV and getting new releases for around $12.99, occasionally even as low as $8.99, which feels like a fair enticement to get me to buy a new cd right away, so this $31.50-$35.00 seems steep. It's full price and a rather high one at that for two separate cds, and yet there's no choice about buying one or two. Doesn't feel quite right. Anyway, November 19 is weeks away so maybe the initial selling price will be changed before then, and those prices are some kind of trial balloon (if the record industry does that kind of thing). > No one was forced to buy the hatbox - > one could have bought the no frills version for $15.00. Here's another > idea - go trade in the CDs you don't like for a credit to build toward it - > I may do that - hahaha. Good idea. And true about not being forced to buy the hatbox... in my case compulsive fanhood came into play (sounds like a disease; felt like it too when I was in line waiting to pay $50+ for what looked like a flimsy gimmick, and feeling incredibly annoyed about that, and yet I paid; it wasn't my usual oh boy! new joni! experience). These days my compulsive fanhood is a bit more under control (until November 18 anyway). Debra Shea
