Bree - I don't know of anyone who doesn't feel sadness and loss over abortion. But that isn't the issue. The fact is that abortions - calculated, purposeful abortions - have been being done probably since people first figured out how to recognize pregnancy. The issue is whether we want the procedure available in a safe atmosphere instead of only available in back alleys, whether we want the procedure done in a sanitary and safe manner or with coat hangers or someone's mom's vacuum cleaner. Abortions are going to happen, whether they are legal or not. They always have.
