But that isn't the issue. The fact is that abortions - calculated, purposeful abortions - have been being done probably since people first figured out how to recognize pregnancy. The issue is whether we want the procedure available in a safe atmosphere instead of only available in back alleys, whether we want the procedure done in a sanitary and safe manner or with coat hangers or someone's mom's vacuum cleaner. Abortions are going to happen, whether they are legal or not. They always have. For my money, I'd rather not kill two people.
Hi Cindy... I understand this..I do not want to see any woman that would find herself in this situation and find it necessary to resort to coat hangers and the like. I love women..as you know! But I know two people right now who would love to have a child and can not. Multiply this by the thousands. Adoption..not abortion! And at least you are honest enough and not use euphemisms for the baby while still in the womb. ......when you wrote.."I'd rather not kill two people" Yes...the fetus is a person...
