Holding a cellphone to your ear while driving will be illegal in July, anyway:

I had thought it already was. The stupid thing is they didn't need this law, all they had to do was start enforcing the reckless driving law. Not having you hands on the wheel and not paying attention to the road can get you a ticket hefty ticket.

That's both good and bad. Yes, it will keep people from holding
handsets to their head while driving. However, studies have shown that
it's the act of having a long-distance conversation that distracts the
brain, not whether the phone is hands-free. On the flip side
(apparently this coin has three sides), hands-free devices make you
physically more able to respond in an emergency... as long as your
attention isn't completely swallowed by the call.

You mean like those idiots that have to be completely animated while they talk to a person that can't see them? I really love the a*&^$#*S that figure that since traffic has come to a crawl during rush-hour, it's time to call someone on the phone and have a nice conversation to take their mind off the long arduous drive!
