Yes. I still get the message "Software installation is currently disabled. . ." But now I am back to getting Edit Options panel, which when I click it and observe very carefully puts a small oval icon on the screen about 3/8 inch high by 1/8 wide, and puts something in the bottom task bar labeled "Firefox Preferences". > Or perhaps Tools > Extensions... (which I have not had success with) Just tried that. Same results. "Software installation is currently disabled ... So if it had been disabled with a previous release, you can't get there with the GUI to change it. Back to the command-line interface. Damn GUI anyhow. I owe you a drink from my "Drambuie for the Damn GUI" bottle. carl -- carl lowenstein marine physical lab u.c. san diego [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-newbie
