I don't know if you can upgrade to 5 deluxe when 6 is out now...and that
would be pretty costly...since you would pay double the price that others
would pay to eventually get to v 6.

For example. To get to v. 5 deluxe, you would pay about 21.95, then another
21.95 to upgrade to v. 6 deluxe at some point

For others: to upgrade straight from v.5standard to v. 6 deluxe is only
29.95

But you might want to check since now that v. 6 is out, I don't know if you
can upgrade v. 5 to deluxe. I may be wrong.

Subject: [LegacyUG] V5 upgrade

I would appreciate some upgrade advice.

Although I have been doing genealogy for 50+ years and using a computer for
about 20 years, I am quite new to Legacy. I am using V5 Standard dated
April 2005 but the more I use Legacy the more I realize that I need to
upgrade to Deluxe.

After reading the messages about V6, I think I am not ready to try its
complexities until I have more experiece. That leaves me with upgrading to
V5 Deluxe. I am concerned about the change in file format that occurred in
the August build. What changes in my database will be visible to me in an
upgrade? Any problems that I might incur? My database has over 12000
individuals, and I really don't want to mess them up.
