Thanks Don. Sorry for the confusion. We've logged the request in our
Enhancements project to do "something" to accommodate for the
history/origin/etc. of surnames. Like Dennis later mentioned, what all
we would do with it, I don't know yet. I, too, am interested in learning
from others what they would forsee with this. Regardless, I think it
would be interesting to be able to track this kind of information about
surnames.

What has been "officially" logged, Dennis interjection or the original 
subject of this thread?

His is an interesting request in that a later post seems to indicate 
that he doesn't know what he would do with it if he had it.
