After working with MindForger some, I think it's interesting but doesn't
quite get to what I'd like. It has one display mode that's much like Leo's
- but I think that Leo's is more suitable, since it's more readable for
scanning over the outline pane. It doesn't have a backward-forward
equivalent to Leo's, and I've found that to be really annoying.

There are other displays, but I mostly didn't find them helpful. And the
feature I thought was going to be a mind map - well, it's not really a mind
map but a touchgraph-like display (anyone remember touchgraph?). And
that's not really what I'm looking for.

Another feature looked really interesting. When you create or edit a
"note", the program automatically computes a "similarity" value to other
notes in the system. These values are displayed in an ordered list. and
clicking on one takes you to that note. Great! But in practice, I didn't
find it very helpful - too many unhelpful links, and no way to get back
after you traverse one. If I had thousands of notes, that list would
become unworkably large, I think.

So at this point I'd rather work on bringing the capability into Leo, which
can just about do the basics of what I want as it is. We might want to
adapt certain features from Mindforge, though.
