did you train the filter by flagging all those slipped messages as junk? iF you just delete them, the filter would not be improved!
Yes. I always hit the 'Junk' button which promptly gets them out of my sight and into the Junk folder. This seemed to work great on Mozilla but I suspect something is unfinished in Thunderbird. The same messages just keep getting thru. Likely it will be working in a later beta release.
