I've got sometimes ago a similar problem.
Solved this way:

With KDiskfree check with the remaining space in the disk or disk partition where is 
located the  /var
directory; probably this partition is full.

You will find it in "system tools" - "supplementary system tools" - "KDiskFree"

If I'm right, you just have to clean the partition of all unused log files; some may 
climb to megs.

Then after your stations may start normally.

Then check why you have so much of stock in /var/log and adjust or cancel the 
unusefull logging services.
