Change tracking output issues

Hi all,

I couldn't find an open bug report on either of these, so I thought I'd 
ask for input here. The following apply to LyX 2.1.4.

Issue #1: In the User Guide, section 6.16, the last paragraph says that 
dvipost must be installed to show changes in the output. I've been 
showing changes in output (pdflatex) just fine without it. Is this 
advice out of date?

Issue #2: The /only/ format that lets me show changes as changes is 
pdflatex. All other formats compile the document but give no indication 
where the changes are. Am I missing something?
