I did not have to do anything special to get the FTDI to support 76800. No special driver or tweaks.
TBACK just opens the port with the rate set to 76800. That's all. Yes tback supports loading the backed up image. It still polls the port directly but uses hardware flow control to keep from being overrun. I expect it is slower because of flow control. -- John.
