Thanks, Charles for highlighting that remark from hari. No, there is no "conclusion" that being attacked by the right "vindicates" anyone. I really wish people would make clearer distinctions between what somebody writes and what that incidentally brings to their mind. Just because I said something that made you think something else doesn't mean that what you thought is what I "really meant." David Bohm promoted "dialogue" that involved deep listening, a kind of listening that encouraged participants to withold their reactions to what somebody was saying until they were sure they heard what that person was actually saying. Bohm's dialogue was based on a theory of mind in which each individual's thoughts are incomplete without the thoughts of other people.
