I believe that is its origin story. I don't think the US socialist and
communist tradition was to support any Democratic or Republican Party
candidates before Roosevelt. And for that change, we can thank the CPUSA and
the needs of Soviet foreign policy.

That's well put. Biden didn't end Trump's Cuba blockade, reduce oil or gas
production, lower US greenhouse gas emissions, stop or even slow the
Palestinian genocide. The Democratic Party will no doubt accept those parts of
the MAGA order that suit their biggest donors and most powerful influencers. I
don't doubt that they will adapt to a future US fascist order.

You don't have any. Neither to I agree and think that John should stop looking
backwards, focusing on "regrets," and instead start looking forward to discuss
strategy and tactics for fighting MAGA fascism: We have been exchanging ideas
on strategies to dealing with troops in the streets and revolutionary
organization. We have discussed the current 50501/Indivisible movement,
comparing and contrasting it to the Indivisible/Womens Movement of the 1st
Trump administration, and discussing the role of Democratic Party pressure
groups like Indivisible in the 2nd Trump administration.

Instead of dealing with the moment, it's not a consensus-building approach for
someone to keep telling people "I told you so," particularly when they really
didn't.
