AC3 tracks are usually marked SCMS final. The recording was not an AC3 bitstream; it was a 96/24 PCM recording (Alan Parsons Project "I Robot", by Classic Records). I have a Pioneer DV-525, and I configured it to output a 48Khz signal. This way, I could record everything on the R90.
