ambitious as Anthony is, I don't think he's going to be cracking 200mph down the
quarter just yet. In fact, anybody who is planning on getting a terminal
speed like that would legally be required to fit a
parachute!
Even
cheap tyres are rated to speeds of over 210km/hr, so if you prepare well and
choose appropriate quality radials then yea, they absolutely are designed for
it!

Think about it sensibly. All slicks are designed to offer their peak performance at higher operating temperatures than street radials are, hence the traditional warmup burnout. If you ran slicks on the front, they will not be in their operating temperature range and therefore offer bugger all grip, but a street radial will be, and will perform well by comparison.
