So does anyone on this list run 205/60R15 tires on a 124? I'd like to stay
with the factory rating, but I'm considering whatever trade-off may be
required if I can save $100 or so.

I suspect the trade-off will be in fuel consumption (worse), speedometer
accuracy, and handling; I'd like to know more about the handling part.

Subject: Re: [MBZ] Tire decision time: 195/65 or 205/60?

These 195 tires are getting to be a problem to find if my experience is
any indication. And MBs seem to require a particular load rating due to
the general heavy nature and handling requirements, which are even more
difficult to find in a 195 (if you follow the rules) for these older
cars. 205s seem easier to find for the application, I'm not sure that
small difference will make much difference to anything noticeable, but
I'm sure there is some aspect to that I am not aware of.
