To back my point with facts, here is Uri's original announcement of the

This was indeed the first attamp but when we discussed mirroring the translation
list Uri explained why he backed up.
I might bring the reference tonight when I'm home and if I'll find it was ment
to be public.

I checked the ivrix archives, and found a message about the fact that the
trasnaltion list is not moderated, and thus anyone would be able to spam the
list from any address. This was a result of an annoymous message from the
forum interface being approved by an ivrix moderator. All this had nothing
to do with Hamakor board or servers.

Here are the current board members' opinions on the topic:

AFAIK Orna said few times she support the idea.

Then what's the problem?

To bad someone deleted your blog entry which in its follow-ups you objected the
web archives idea and thereafter following a pretty long discussion Tzafrir was
allowed to put it up.

I never objected to the web archives idea and encouraged Tzafrir to set it
up. I had some technical remarks on how lurker handled Hebrew messages,
which is why I went and implemented the current archives.

To give the web archives further push its address was never published on
Hamakors website or anywhere else but the deleted blog entry and a massage I
posted on Kaplan's blog and to which I keep return when I forget the adress
(actualy it might have beed "published" to the target audiance on some mailing
list).

The archives were announced in bilingual message on the discussions list:
http://mirror.hamakor.org.il/archives/discussions/10-2005/2533.html

I agree that the archives should also be linked from the website. There's no
conspiracy to hide the existence of archives I spent several hours of my
precious time configuring. If you had any idea how much work it takes to
mantain the configurations for all the conflicting opinions (like -r lists),
you wouldn't have recated this way. Treating volunteers as your slaves is
very rude. I do not owe you nothing. I worked several hours on launching the
archives on your request and didn't even get a thank you.

The sync was stopped several days later by Uri Sharf.

AFAIK the discussion on @ivrix explains why but I can't rule out personal
corespodance with Uri.

I cannot control Uri's actions, and I will not spend days of my precious
time to configure a forum system just because you are too lazy to use the
archives. I am not your slave.
