Where to begin?

I must admit I didn’t pay as close attention to the second version of the
ATC legislation as I did the first, so I appreciate the updated information
from Bob and Doug. I stand updated.

However … I still believe the clever little NY Times video employs several
gross generalizations. I also thought the timing of the piece was a bit
odd. Why pit the airlines and business aviation against each other now when
we're all still waiting to hear from Secretary Duffy about his big,
beautiful ATC modernization plan? Seems like a distraction to me. As
Kathryn mentioned, it does sound like some A4A influence in there, sort of
shades of their old Aunt Edna campaign. But what is the result someone was
hoping for?

The most essential issue remains whether all users can be charged fairly
for ATC services. We should be able to agree that the current ATC system
handles airline traffic predominantly. Yes, business aviation, for the most
part, uses the same airspace as the airlines, except enroute, where we're
usually flying above them. Someone mentioned the New York airspace, which
is always a hornet's nest. BizAv is headed for TEB or HPN or MMU, not JFK,
or LGA or EWR (See Doug, I still remember my identifiers. 😁)

I'm no economist, but the landing airport should count for something in the
mix, don't you think?
