Nope!! 8-)) libdv does NOT require them, unless you want to compile the
included tools - you don't want to do that, since you don't need them for
mjpegtools. But maybe you have to hack Makefile{,.in,.am} to remove the
references to glib/gtk.
And, ah, yes, libdv doesn't require libSDL either (only the included tools
do).

Try libquicktime instead (see libquicktime.sf.net).
