URI Rewriting and TransHandlers?

Ie the basics of webserver URI -> file/resource location, with a little bit
on rewriting the URI with a view to session management or ~user dirs ....

Logging Handlers? ie how to tweak the logging phase and log to a Database or
log dependant on some request parameter?
