David: I realize that way too many people throw the word "fascism" around for stupid reasons. But I was a history major and did my undergrad thesis on Germany's fascism. It wasn't a very good paper but I've been thinking and reading about it ever since and I'm telling you that this is what it looks like. People who were there and lived through it will tell you the same thing.
Andre: David, I believe you are referring to things flying around in the US at the moment. I am not in the US and do not follow the debates as closely as you do (no TV or radio...internet, but also very busy) but I agree with you. I call myself a warchild, not because I was born during the war, I was born 9 years after but I have been brought up by 2 parents who were a victim of this regime (as far as it was seen, felt and experienced in Holland) and they have inculcated in me a prejudice and hatred of this in such a way that I will never forget. They did not do this verbally, as a child you are able to read the non-verbals far better than the verbals ( and they often contradict), they encouraged intelligent morality ( I can't find a better way to express it) as saying THIS NEVER AGAIN!! Ever since, I have always been extremely sensitive to this word and what it represents. It is simply too heavy a word to bandy around unless you are devoid of any morality. And we know what that means in MoQ terms. I agree with you, Andre Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
