If I begin with a FAQ of 10 questions, then it grows to 50, and then to 100... so I split the FAQ into separate files. At the end of the process, all questions in misc.html are moved to the appropriate file. Now, does it make sense for me to keep the misc.html URI? It would look to me the original URI has lost its meaning, e.g. other people can link to it all they want and visitors following the URIs won't find the information the visitors expect.

the main points of the article are:
urls should never change. you can move the files anywhere you want,
but the urls should be consistent.

and

the urls should be human readable and human guessable.
