But it's meaning did change. V used to mean: The number of scalefactors
'over' their psymodel perception limits. 

Now V is a weird mapping to db below of above the psymodel. 

Not that it's a bad thing. It's just not that intutive that 0 is 'higher
bitrates' and '9' in lower bitrates.
 
Perhaps it's best to leave it how it is... It's just something to think
about.
