Does anyone have experience with the Navman 3100 series?  Their Repeat 3100 claims to take any NMEA stream as input and thus (to my mind) could be used as a larger display to report the speed the GPS is reading (and without a thru hull for the paddlewheel).  Prices seem very competitive too.
