jim - thanks for all that info!
so i have already been at work on the desk (taking out old connectors, cleaning, resoldering, etc... my trusty Hakko 808 has been hard at work! i can't imagine doing this without it! as for an iron... i'm using a stahl TCSS - nothing fancy, but sure seems to work fine. i know exactly how many 10's and 12' s i need for the entire desk... the one's on the mouser page look pretty close. the goal is to buy 2 10's and 2 12's (enough for one input mod) and try it... if it fits well then i'll get the rest. i will probably call someone there with an exact measurement of the male pins on the cards... anything to ensure that i dont buy 300 of the wrong part! that howard electronics site is pretty cool... one of those auto-feeding soldering irons would be pretty handy on this job! -pete On May 23, 2011, at 6:56 PM, Jim wrote: > 538-09-52-3103 ------ View the list online at: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] You can unsubscribe at anytime by sending an email to mailto:[email protected] with "unsubscribe neotek" in the message body.
