        Sure can! 

(By the way, at the LILO prompt, I can type "linux mem=64M" and it will
work just fine, but in /etc/lilo.conf, line five reads
"append="mem=64M"" and it seems to do nothing.)

        These are both typed in as the Root user, at the Bash shell prompt.
