Save your X Configuration file and MAKE BACKUPS.  Even though you think, 
"There's no possible way that this can screw up"... believe me, something 
will happen.   Nothing's more comforting knowing that you can screw around as 
much as you want, and if it's all gone to heck and back, you can just reset 
the changes.
