[newbie] Video Card

I have installed Red Hat 6.0 and had trouble my video card. Which is a ATI rage fury 128, 32 meg. My computer doesn't like it. I can get the shell interface to work but not the gui to work. I also installed Mandrake 7.1 this was a little better but  had a double desk top!! Does any one have any suggestion!
