This mostly depends on what Sol11Express will look like. If they make future dtrace & zfs development closed-source, illumos will have nothing to pull from, and without corporate sponsorship, illumos will slowly wither. And if s11e is actually suitably licensed and featured, it might just become "the new name" for a less-open opensolaris.
