Hmm, if patches applied via PCA are unsupported, and all PCA does is call
patchadd (with a result *identical* to calling patchadd directly yourself),
then by transitivity applying patches via patchadd is unsupported ;). I
guess they only support fresh installs from new media now 8-/.

I wouldn't let them get away with such a cheesy cop-out, tell them to
escalate the issue to an engineer with a clue...
