Bill, Just to confirm your mail. I just finished a design where I exactly _need_ the pad configuration you dsicribed ( a single layer pad with a plated hole). I too wondered why DRC do not check the holes. Tried it in some other configurations an decidet to do a multilayer-pad in a top-middle-bottom configuration. That solved my problem, but the 'strange feature' is still there and will couse errors in the board not found in DRC. There are only two ways to prevent: 1. Don't trust to much in automatism, better check twice. 2. Work with a fab-house with an good CAM-operator <g>
