The idea behind "lifetime membership" is nice, although I would have
to agree with Kelsey's arguments as well. I guess we shouldn't call it
"lifetime membership" as it itself can be revoked too, granting that
human beliefs can waver :) Instead, I propose we go with William's
proposal of calling it some award of sorts with a clear-cut mechanism
of nomination.

Hmmm... I think I wouldn't agree that "lifetime members" as used in
this context should be accorded with any privilege distinct from
"regular members", individual or institution it may be. It's like the
class system all over again or a promotion of such. I think an award
would be sufficient and not to the extreme as the proposal on
"lifetime membership" currently stands. Anyway, we'd have a lot of
time to rethink and reformulate on this -> may I suggest moving this
to PLUG-org? Do note also that any amendment made by members in good
standing must have someone from the board sponsoring it.
