Good Morning Dik,

Unlike Dick, I tend to believe you. We all have had life experiences where
we have options to either master and use our diplomatic skills.....Or not.

I too have been successful in negotiating a number of tense situations, (my
story is long and boring!!) but I have also been in situations where one's
"diplomatic skills" counted for naught.

I believe that you too have been in such situations; whether guns were a
part or parcel of the scenario or not. Sometimes, a show of strength and
force is the only way to negotiate.

Hey Holly!!

Once again, I know that it is difficult for you to comprehend everything
that is written on your first reading. I suggest that you go back, re-read
Dik's initial comment, and then re-read my post. If there are questions
after doing so, then I will be more than happy to try and break down the
history as well as the analogy for you.
