ALL lobby organizations send political contributions to political parties, the most to the parties they believe will advance their particular agenda. What would make the Teacher's Union different from a Manufacturer's lobby, or the Agribusiness lobby or anyone else? I'm all for making ANY and ALL contributions ILLEGAL attempts to bribe public officials. You can claim pretty much anything REALLY means something else if you wish to. proving it is a horse of a different color. Really? Exactly who is it that controls promotions and transfers within a given school district? Is it the Federal Dept. Of Education? Is it the local school Board? Is it the local Teacher's Union, based on seniority & other factors? Are you trying to tell me that if an individual teacher in St. Louis wishes to transfer to a different school with the St. Luis District the decision is made by the Dept. of Education in Washington, D.C?
