What reforms have Government instituted thus far? This is the first
proposal of a major (emphasis major)reform of health care instituted
by the Government that has ever been proposed, to my knowledge.

It began by cartelization with the AMA ... then there was the
FDA .... in the 1960s there was Medicare followed by
Medicaid ... in the 1970s there were HMOs ... the list is endless
AND those are merely the 'programs' and NOT the endless
interventions.

In response to the snippet about socialist, government etc...
It would appear Mr. Bastiat confuses a Democratic Society and any
other Society. In Democracy the people are the government.
