to make those two statements in the same breath is indeed stupid of you. We have an excellent combination of the two systems. What makes it work is oversight of them both. The Government here is not issuing accounting reports more than three years in arrears. People found to be by-passing and or overstepping the system are sent to jail (no country clubs here). The people in jail at present for this include the dirt poor right up to and including an ex-president..... they share space and mattresses regardless of their standing... It is what is missing in your system... true personal accountability.
