Sounds like the Bush family. Rome was a Republic, before and after the first Caesar (Julius), albeit in different forms. And had Constitutions for what they were worth....nothing. Athens was a Democracy. Now, who do you think attacked who to expand their empire? Ah the virtuous nature of Republics. The point is; Republicans are just as quick (if not quicker) to subvert the Constitution than any Democrats are. A Constitutional Republic is meant to protect the rights of minorities, and yet at almost every turn, Republicans try to squash any rights of minorities. Minorities in Republican speak means; Republicans, rich Republicans specifically.
