"Oh," Kat exclaimed with delight. "Can you put them in, I don't know how."
She immediately moved to the sink and let Julia help her get washed up.
Then she slipped into her dress, tights and shoes spinning around the
bathroom with excitement. It was hard to sit still while Julie helped with
their hair. Though the final result was fabulous. The little girl just
stared at herself wide eyed in the mirror. "Now I get to help you she said
finally, what do I do?"
Julia finished with her hair and grinned as she sat back out in the main
room and sat in the center bench/seat before moving to a Japanese curtain
and stepping behind it.
"When I ask, just bring over the stuff.. then you can help me put flowers in
my hair and then walk one to Nick so he has one in his suit. Sound cool?"
The clothes of the day were soon hung over the curtain and she started
calling out for the items. Few minutes later she stepped out from behind
the screen and did a small twirl for Kat to get her opinion. It was a pale
pink/peach slip of a dress that offset her natural skin tone and brought
more color to her cheeks and eyes. It came up to a little lower than
mid-thigh ,just the way Nick liked her dresses she knew, and hung and hugged
about her figure.
She looked down at her stockinged feet and wiggled her toes before sitting
down and asking for the shoes.
Then, the brush and bobby pins she had brought with them from the car still
being in the bathroom, she went in and put her hair up in a loose knot,
letting strands of hair escape to curl about her face and back of the neck
before coming back out and pointing to the roses "Want to decorate?"
